home remedies to lose weight? exercise routines? YOGA POSES?

yea, im vegetarian…

The first thing I’ve done is started buying low fat and low sodium type things like salad dressing, butter, mayo-mainly things that add the most weight. Then try some portion control…I think the rule is something like a piece of meat should only be the size of your fist and the sides should fill up half of your plate or more. 10 minute abs has really worked for me. You don’t have to get a video or anything just look up how to do it online, its easy and super effective, and go for walks. You don’t have to run your ass off to lose weight, just relax and walk.

Yoga for begginers, do i have to be expirenced?

im starting yoga at my gym on monday, i have never done yoga before but i am starting with my friend from school. will i need to know the basics because im sure they will not teach me everything they have been doing as there will be other people there who are well expirenced.
It ISNT a begginers class!! i am a begginer lol

there wont be a proble. the stances are for all levels. you can do them to the extent you can, and leave it there. if you cant, they will live you alone, or assist you gently. yoga doesnt require drastic poses.

How can I create depth in my voice ?

Hi,Friends I love the voice of BIG B & late Amrish puri.I like the depth in voice .Please help me for some links on web & some excersice to create depth in my voice.Presently I am doing some breath control yoga.I want to create force in voice .Please guide me

Breath control. Speak more slowly, use your diction and really concentrate on your words. Speak every word as if it is a joy to say. Watch your diction and pronunciation, and that will improve your voice and how you speak. Also listen to tapes of you speaking. You will hear things that you do not hear in your own head. The tapes will give you a good guideline on what you can fix.
Good luck.

I do yoga almost everyday, and not only have I lost weight (and maintained it), but I have noticed that I have toned yet lean muscles.

Exercise is as important as a good diet, especially when it comes to losing weight. It is not so much how much calories you eat but what type of food you’re eating. While decreasing your calorie intake will surely help, you have to make sure that you’re still eating healthy and nutritious food such as fresh fruits and vegetables (best to eat them raw, as in salads), whole grains and healthy protein alternatives such as tofu and yogurt. Decrease your consumption of red meat, junk food and soda.

Los Angeles Marathon……?

So here is my deal and wondering what you all think about it. I am 31 yrs old, 6’1" 164 lbs. I am not a runner actually really can’t stand it but always been able to run not sure why. I am an avid surfer for cardio, strict diet and take Bikram Yoga a few times a week. Last year I ran the Marathon in just under 5 hours 25 minutes without running for maybe a year prior. Once again this year I am running the Marathon and last time I ran was last years Marathon. I am in better shape this year and actually dropped 30+ lbs since last years. I was wondering if there are avid runners out there is a time of 4:30 out of my league? Last year I was fine until Mile 20 where I slammed into the wall at full force, Mile 20 to 26 was the tough part. Just wondering what your thoughts were on this topic.

Thank you.

Remi
No you got it right. I have always been an athlete compete in JIu-Jitsu, surf, Yoga always challenging myself. To answer you, yes I have no run since last Marathon and yes I will finish this one with a time under 4:30.

hmm….
A marathon is tough
are you trying to run the whole thing or what?
well if you do then every week run one mile
then the next week run two miles and so on
