Charlie Horse when foot is extended?
I get an awful charlie horse in my left foot, above the front of the arch, in line with the big toe, when I extend the foot. It most-frequently happens in yoga positions when my body weight is on the top of the foot (kneeling, half backward bend, full backward bend positions). As a runner, these exercises are crucial to stretch my shin and hip muscles.
Dave, next time it happens grab the muscle and squeeze it. I found it is the easiest way to get rid of them. It all comes from exercises that I developed that go into stretching the muscles and the cords in the body, something that can be helpful to someone like you.
