im a freshmen xc runner and 800m runner
this is my first year running and i want to drop my times some more.. i heard yoga helps alot
how much time would it drop and is it worth doing it??
i would be doing the yoga x from p90x
Thanks
im not too sure, but yoga would definitely help. it would control your breathing and allow you to be more flexible. this could increase your stride and performance. believe it or not some yoga exercises can also build muscle and benefit abdominal and other muscles.

Yoga is a great compliment to any athletic activity including running. It will help you with balance, flexibility, strength and breathing. Yoga will also help mentally as well, learning meditation, clearing your mind and calming yourself before races.
The results you will see would reflect on your dedication and commitment to practicing yoga. If you have a studio near you I would recommend doing a few classes to get a good idea of the positions, which will help your practice. There are quite a few places that offer complimentary yoga as well so have a look. If you are near a lululemon store, we always have at least one complimentary class a week at all locations.
